I'd add an aftermarket cpu cooler
    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/alpen...-940-am2-am2pl or http://www.scan.co.uk/products/arcti...m2-am2plus-am3

I'd also grab a couple of filters for the side panel vents http://www.scan.co.uk/products/140mm...dust-filtering x2 and a couple of low rpm fans for the top http://www.scan.co.uk/products/140mm...witch-case-fan x2

I second the aftermarket cooler. This one gets close to coolers over double its price http://www.scan.co.uk/products/coole...5-1156-1366-am

Re: £700 gaming pc budget - first builder

The PSU is out of stock, I'd suggest perhaps this one:

    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/550w-...et-fan-atx-psu

It's modular, slightly more efficient, slighter cheaper and 550w will be plenty for the system you describe.
You may not have heard of the brand much, but they got an editors choice over at Anandtech recently for their 450w model.
