Build checkover before ordering

Hey All,

Just about to pull the trigger on my new setup and wondered if there were any conflicts ( or better component options I should consider )

Setup must be as quiet as possible, but without causing cooling issues.

Its purely for my 2D/Work/Photo/Video work, as I have another machine I'll use for all my email/web etc etc


CPU: Intel Core i7 3930K

Overclocked - CPU: 4.5Ghz ( might dial this back to 4.2/4.3 )

CPU Coolers: Noctua NH-D14:

Motherboard X79: Asus Rampage IV Formula:

Memory x 2 : Corsair Memory Vengeance Green 16GB DDR3 1600 MHz CAS 9 XMP:

Graphics Card: MSI GTX 570 OC Twin Frozr II **ALREADY OWN**

OS Drives x 2: Corsair CSSD-P128GBP-BK:

Storage Drive: Western Digital Caviar Green 1TB SATA III

Case: Fractal R3 Grey:

PSU: CorsairTX650M:



Going to swap out the stock case fans for 2x Noctua NF-P12-1300 120mm Case Fans

Still debating over a custom pre-built system or ordering up the components and putting it together myself....

Given this is for work the onboard sound should be enough for my requirements as I have no need for a 5.1 setup for running my programs

if anyone has any recommendations for alternate parts or any conflicts I might experience with the above spec, please lemme know

Aren't you paying extra for the green coloured memory? I'm pretty sure they added a few quid on and if I remember the fractal is a solid case with no window. Only a thought

lol....thanks, I'm only going off what I have read tho

Green memory is 1.35v, apparently it's easier on the CPU, no temp issues = less problems ( I hope )

How this thing looks is bottom of the list for this build...
