    Just a small update.
I'm going to be giving my current computer away now, so upgrading it isn't possible. Still undecided about getting a 670 or 660 though. But i tihnk i have a good idea about what to get for the rest of my build now.

With this card under £300 it seems the 7970 is a great choice:

Re: Up to £1000 to spend on a new gaming pc

I'm having the same graphics card dilemma. Always been an Nvidia person but price wise the 7970 actually seems a bit less expensive than e 670 and it's coming with more games at the moment.

Annoyingly my screens aren't display port though so would need to pickup an adapter if I went for the 7970.

Re: Up to £1000 to spend on a new gaming pc

    I got:
NZXT Switch 810 Gunmetal Special Ed + 3 blue led 140mm fans to bring the total to 7.
    128GB Samsung 830 Series SSD
    Asus P8Z77-V LX
    750W Antec True Power
2GB MSI GTX 670 Power Edition OC. ( It was either that or the 2GB Gigabyte GTX 670 Windforce 3X, Picked this purely as at the time it was cheaper and it has that dust removal thing.)

For now I decided to keep my current cpu which is the i5 2500k and I've overclocked it again to 4.5, I reinstalled windows to the SSD and turned my old hard drive into a data drive. Still debating if an upgrade to an i5 3570K is worth it, Maybe an i7 + h100 or that new nzxt cooler.

If you guys want pics I'm happy to upload some though my cable management isn't the best lol.
