    new build in the works

    Hi guys.
what do you think of this build ? my limit cant really go over 1200, even tho i did a little.

    Intel CPU Core i5 3570K
Corsair Memory Vengeance Jet Black Low Profile 8GB
    ASRock Z77 Extreme 4
EVGA SuperNova NEX 650W Full Modular
Palit GTX660Ti JetStream (to match the asrock board )
    Crucial RealSSD M4 256GB
1TB Western Digital Caviar Green SATA III
    Corsair H80i Hydro
24" BenQ GL2450 Wide LED Glossy
Corsair Air Series AF120 Quiet Edition Twin Pack
Cooler Master CM Storm Xornet Gaming Mouse Black
    Roccat Arvo Compact Gaming Keyboard
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit OEM
    Corsair carbide 300r, already bought.

This comes in at £1257 with scansure and delivery.

Anything iv missed? (oops i did have a blueray dvddrive in here but didnt save to basket.

With this system, ill be mainly gaming (total war games, gta, farming sim, you get the idea) Now am i right in assuming that ill be playing at full settings on shogun 2?

I will be overclocking the cpu obviously, i just hope iv picked the right cooler.

    Cheers for any help.

Re: new build in the works

I assume you are getting the Scan insurance because you have not done a build before??

I would probably try to only get insurance of the CPU,motherboard and RAM TBH,as these are the things you might have a greater chance of mucking up!!

TBH,if you just take your time, and do your research you should be fine IMHO.

Once you get to 20 relevant posts you can get free Scan postage:

    http://forums.hexus.net/scan-care-he...tup-guide.html

I would spend more on the graphics card. I would get one of the following:

    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/3gb-g...i-hdmi-2x-mdp-

    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/2gb-m...79mhz-plusfree

You also need to add an optical drive too.

I would try to aim for the parts I listed. However, after uploading the screenshot I realised the monitor is £24 cheaper on Amazon:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dell-Ultrash...4741517&sr=1-4

The Dell monitor gets very good reviews and you also have an adjustable stand too:

    http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/p...n&sku=320-2807

It uses a 6 bit IPS panel.

If you want to push the cost of the build down,I would look at the following monitors:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/LG-IPS234V-P...4741517&sr=1-1

    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/23-ao...cd-m-200000001

These also use 6 bit IPS panels.

If you get the LG monitor the build cost goes down to around £1305.
