Love my new PowerDaw system but I need to ask one question....

Loving my new system! Installed Cubase and all my soft synths and plugs with little to no problems (just a few niggles with setup installers on Windows 7 64).
The only thing I am worried about was that the other day, I inserted my Cn Micro X Pro 2G flash drive to transfer some data, as soon as I did so, I had the dreaded "blue screen of death".
Its only happened the once so far. Is there a simple explanation for it?

Hey, so it made it out of the box finally!

I think I know what the issue is. I reckon that the sheet your using to hide it from the mrs is getting cought in the usb slot when you insert the usb drive into it...

Sorry... Real reason. I don't know. Have you tried inserting it a second time? Did it work fine? Windows tends to load drivers in the back ground the first time a storage device is inserted. If it's working fine now, then it could just be a case that the driver that loaded upset something else. If so once it's rebooted it should reconfigure and essentially fix itself.

If it happens again then if you could write down the error code on the blue screen I can work out what's playing up, but if it's not happened again already I doubt you'll see it again as the drivers will have sorted themselfs out now.

    Lol about the sheet Pete!!

Yeah, I inserted the flash drive a few times before the dreaded blue screen and it was ok. I've inserted it a few times after it happened and its worked ok to.
So at the mo, everything is working great!!
    I just luv this system!
Out of curiosity, I thought Id try and load as many cpu munching synths and effects.
Loading 4x instances of Cakewalk's z3ta+ all with eight inserts worth of the cpu killer, PSP Nitro in each synth, then added Rob Papen's excellent (and my favourite synth!) Predator with a further eight instances of various reverb effect plugins such as Sir1, Tc Electronic's M30 and Breverb.
Result? My 3XS system never even broke into a sweat!
    Now that's power!!!

ps. Pete, thought I'd let you know in case you didn't, M Audio have now released Windows 7 updated drivers in both 32 and 64 bit. Also one for my old and crappy Ozone!!
