Is there a reason why you use the Asus motherboard on the i5 - 570 overclocked bundle instead of the Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2. The only reason I ask, although it's too late for me as I ordered the bundle on Tues, is that I've noticed the Asus doesn't support Xfire but the Gigabyte board does, plus the Gigabyte board is cheaper and just as good, looking at the reviews.

Thanks for that Philip, but it's a bit late now, it's on it's way. I'm not overly fussed but it's great that you are changing the way you can select components. Thanks for getting the bundle out to me for Sat morning, can't wait to get it built up.

The Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2 does asymmetrical Crossfire anyway as the second PCI-E slot will run at PCI-E 2.0 4X:

is there any reason your bundles dont include a thermal compound paste like the ocuk ones ? or is it simply missed out on the specs list ?

also, do u mind letting me know what i am missing out on if i stick with the gigabyte motherboard on the i7 920 bundle rather than upgrade to the asus in the i7 930 bundle .

Hi ahmed87,

We most certainly install the Thermal paste as I'm sure you can imagine, however, the whole point of the OC bundle is to keep the cost down. If you wish to have your own paste, it'll cost roughly £5 for some Chill Factor 3 which we've just got in stock this week. We've used the Chill Factor 2 for the last 12months+ and had great results at 4Ghz with the i7 900's and other Core i series CPU's as well.

Feel free to add some to the basket, but we elected not to provide a tube as a cost saving measure.

With regards to the difference between a 920 and 930 - 200Mhz. Barely noticeable and if you are going to increase the frequency, either chip will do and I'd advise that you go 920, again on price as the performance is near identical.

stumbled onto here built quite a few pcs over the years like gaming not the best player as age and arthritus taking over lol so if i order a mobo cpu ram n gfx card can they be sent pre overclocked or is this only done on fully built macines thanx

I might be interesting in this bundle : SLIK - Intel Core i7 990X - Overclocked Bundle - Overclocked at 4.6Ghz but can you change to Noctua D14 cpu cooler instead ? Is it 4.6GHz overclocked ?
