Black Widow Extreme or Triad "Tian Di Hui"

Hi all

I'm replacing my rig this week and figured I'd gather as much info as possible before placing my order

My budget is around 4.5 - 5k the system will be used for rendering 3d mostly from lightwave, 2d compositing, and gaming

the config I'm after is:
CPU: Intel i7 980x 6 cores OCed to 4.3+ (Sometimes will be rendering for 2+ days)
GPU: 2x gtx 480's
liquid cooling on cpu & gpu's
RAM: 6 gig DDR3 2000Mhz
MBOARD: Rampage III Extreme
SYSTEM DRIVE: 2x 120GB Corsair Force, Sandforce SSD in raid 0 (what kind of lifespan do ssd's have? )
DATA/BACKUP DRIVE:2TB Western Digital Caviar Green
SOUND: onboard will do
OPTICAL DRIVE: 10x Blu-Ray Writer & DVDRW
WARRANTY: 2 year Extended (Is this 2 standard + 2 year extended = 4years total? would like more detail about this)

The Black Widow Extreme with this config is £4,771 and the Triad "Tian Di Hui" is £4,121, What is the extra £650 on the Black Widow?

Please suggest any ideas you have to improve my system

p.s Any cosmetic ideas would be appreciated (I like the reservoir with a spiner, is it as good as the included reservoir?. or a panel showing temperatures & flow.)

Have you considered the White Tiger?

The difference is mainly the watercooling in the Black Widow Extreme will let you have GPU cooling where as the Triad is just CPU cooling.

That would be my choice for that budget/requirements.

I just took a look at the White Tiger, with the parts I want it came out at £5,701 Thats a rather big price jump, what makes it £930 more expensive?

The difference is mainly the watercooling in the Black Widow Extreme will let you have GPU cooling where as the Triad is just CPU cooling.

Thanks Paul I definitely want liquid cooled gpu's so that takes the Triad off my list, Could you help me understand the warranty? If I purchase the 2 Years Scan Extended System Warranty (£3001 - £5000), Does that 2 years start immediately or does it start after the standard warranty expires for a total of 4 years cover?
