    Problems?
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."

Ah, in that case i can't see them refusing you on the DSR front although you may have to pay for courier/delivery back to them.

So hang on let me get this right. You want to return equipment you havnt even tried and havnt even used based on posts on a forums you have seen?

Sounds like madness. I have a delux on order and im not at all worried. Why? Well Asus ship millions of these boards and the pro is the most popular. Also the people having issues will scream and shout not the guys who arnt having issues. Id say build it and see what happens. If it is faulty then by all means return it, if not enjoy your new rig.

Also last time I checked you will have to pay postage for DSR returns...

TBH,it is always better to wait a few weeks after a new socket release IMHO. Not only do prices tend to stabilise but also you can avoid any initial issues.

would he not be better actually trying it then if it doesn't work he can send it back as DOA and scan will probably pay the postage costs on it, And if it does work (and it may well do so after all people dont start threads on forums entitled "i bought a cpu and mobo and they work" do they)then he has no problems at all and no time wasted

You have 14 or 28 days to return it however if you emailled the retailer say with 48 hours left until dsr runs out and they didn't answer you for 3 days you should be able to send it back still as you contacted them before the dsr time had expired. I think thats right anyway Am sure someone will correct me if i am wrong

Got my Sandy Bridge bundle from Scan on Friday, the 2600k with Asus pro board and couldn't be more happy, PC is blisteringly fast and the board is feature packed.

    Very happy.

Re: wanting to return my recent sandy bridge purchase

DSR states you have to inform them of your decision to cancel within 7 working days, then they have 30 working days to refund you the original cost inc postage, depending on t+c's you agreed to determines whether your liable for return postage or not. The refund is unconnected to the return of goods although a deduction could be made for any expenses Scan incur for retrieval.

I'd think it would be resonable to test to see if it works you can still return it as faulty after the 7 days have elapsed. There are always going to be teething trouble with new tech though.

My Asus deluxe is working fine too - just had a CMOS problem (remove battery for 30 secs) and other than that utterly solid (heart touching) and very quick!
