    Overclock?

Hi,have just received my new system this afternoon and am very pleased with the quality of the build. However i have a query when it comes to the overclock with my vengeance p67 oc.CPUID states speed as 3.4Ghz or 1600mhz in bottom left box so after rebooting and going into the bios and changing it to profile 2 and saving it then shows 4700mhz and all is good. When i go into explorer and then exit again it has gone back down to 1600 again.I have tried a few reboots and the same thing occurs. Was wondering if this is just a quirk in the overclocking process or something else?Apart from that its bloody quick

    Re: Overclock?

    Hi

The Sandybridge systems overclock under load, if you are using the system normally it will not be overclocked, once you start to load the CPU (We use Prime95 to test) the CPU speed will increase to the Overclocked speed (latest CPUz will show this)

Windows wont report the speed as the SandyBridge came out after Win7 was released

    Hope this answers your question

    Regards

    Ben
