    Information about ordering from 3XS

I have been looking all over the Internet for a good reliable company to make me a custom made PC (as I do not trust myself) it will be a high powered ranging around £2000. I am just curious about how you will build it when if I do order, I want the Corsair 600T, but would the cable management be done to a professional standard, am I am also wanting 5 Alaska fans (forgot how to spell the brand) would they be placed correctly to improve the air flow or just installed in random places and disrupt the air flow. I am just curious about all these factors when you do build a requested PC, I want to be re-assured that it would be in good hands and done to a professional standard. Also when I order, would I been getting all the accessories that come in the boxes of each part, when you build, as there are a lot of important parts in there that I might need in the near future (as I have been watching unboxings of the motherboard, graphic cards, power supply etc. It would be brilliant to know that you also send all the little parts that you get in the boxes as if I were to build the PC myself).

I have been seeing many complaints about the length it took to build the PC, delivery and customers been kept in the dark about the state of their orders.
After browsing many site, this is the best for the custom build, it offers all the right specs that I need, but it looks like there are more disappointed customers than satisfied customers (that is probably because the satisfied ones don't need to go onto the forms lol). Is the average waiting time over 4 weeks from ordering usually, let's say all the parts were in stock, surely it would take about 1 to 2 weeks?

The last place I ordered from was 247Cube (or was it 24Cube) it was a fast arrival, but not a site I would go to again, and I would not like to make that mistake here.

    Hi Shimi269

The current lead time for systems is longer than usual (we are working at getting these lead times down) and yes our system deliveries can take approx 2-3 days once finished (this depends on your location) but you cant rush perfection and as we have strict QC procedures that the system must pass if any system fails this we replace the failing component and start again.

Our systems are built to a very high standard and our after sales support is very good
Our onsites if needed in the first year take typically 2-4 days and again this is dependant on location.

We also cover all return carriage costs for in warranty repairs and all systems have full insurance while being transported to and from Scan

We will give you a good labour rate for any updgrades should you require this in the warranty period

We do indeed include all accessories for the motherboard and VGA cards etc and any unused items are sent to the customer usually in the motherboard box

We will position all fans for the best airflow and the Akasa are a very good choice

If you want to select a 3XS spec off our website the sales team can be called and you can discuss any extras you want added to the build

Ask the happy 3XS customers on Hexus or have a look at our Word page for customer feedback

    http://web6.scan.co.uk/aspnet/theword/Feedback.aspx?T=1

Our system cable management is very professional and there are plenty of photos on the Hexus forum here to look at and drool over

I hope I have given you enough info to go on and oh yes we have this forum and though it is not manned all the time by Scan staff it is handy to get a bit of advice sometimes out of work hours not only from Scan staff but also our other valued customers who use this site

Right I am off to get some sleep now please let me know if you need any more advice and I will check back on the forum tomorrow

    Regards

    Ben

Re: Information about ordering from 3XS

Yes, you would hope that the system could be built within 2 weeks, and delivered the day after it completed QA tests. Alas, that's not the case. My order took 27 days to build from placing my order, then another 8 days (!) to deliver after that.

However, the build quality is superb and the system has performed flawlessly. The cable management is the best that I've seen. I specified two Akasa Apache Black fans, and they're very quiet. I received all the accessories that were bundled with the individual components.

I would most definitely order another system from Scan, but I would allow 4 weeks for delivery.
