    SATA 6G SSDs

    Hi,

I've been looking at the Vengeance P67 but noticed that it doesn't include the latest SATA 6G SSD options like the OCZ Vertex 3 and Intel ElmCrest. Are these options available on this build or is there a reason why they won't work?

    Thanks,

    Matt

    Coriolis13

They are available, we will be refreshing the options shortly.

If you can confirm the full specification required I will send a full quotation through to you.

    Best Regards

    Re: SATA 6G SSDs

    Hi,

    Thanks for the quick reply!

These are the options I'd like on the '3XS Vengeance P67 OC - Sandy Bridge' system:

Coolermaster HAF 912 Plus, Black, Mid Tower Case w/o PSU
    Asus P8P67 Pro, Intel P67 - Rev3!
Intel Core i7 2600K, 3.4Ghz, Quad Core, 8Mb Cache, Hyperthreading
    Alpenfohn Matterhorn Performance CPU Cooler
    CPU Overclocking to 4.7Ghz
    -- 16GB (4x4GB) Corsair Vengeance DDR3 DDR3 1600Mhz
    1536MB EVGA GTX 580 SC, 797MHz GPU 512 Cores, 4050MHz GDDR5
    600W Corsair CMPSU-600CX
-- *Drive Not Required - Using 6GB/s or SSD See Below*
-- 1TB Western Digital Caviar Black, SATA 6Gb/s, 64MB Cache
-- 120GB OCZ Technology Vertex 3 SSD (got this option from the 3XS FT03 system)
    -- LG CH10LS20 - 8x Blu-Ray Reader & DVDRW
-- *Sound Card Not Required Use On Board Sound*
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit - OEM

I've marked the changes from default with --. Does this seem reasonable?
I was wondering whether adding another Akasa fan would be useful or not? The build seems to already come with the 2 from the case and the one extra Akasa fan so that may be fine.
Also, is the 600W PSU enough? I don't intend to use SLI in the future so I guess it is.

    Thanks,

    Matt

    Hi,

Any news on the quote? Given the expected build/delivery time I'd like to get my order in soon.

    Hi Matt

With Home Delivery I can do this option for £1,665.63 including VAT.

    Best Regards

    Hi Paul,

Thanks for the quote; it looks good! btw, it seems like I can't message you, so I'll post this here. I have a quick question about Win7 OEM. Does this come with a DVD? If I needed to eg, reformat my OS drive, would that be possible, or do I need to get a retail version for that?

    Thanks,

    Matt

    Re: SATA 6G SSDs

The OEM does come with a DVD which you can re-install the OS the only issue is if you change your hardware configuration which you may need to call Microsoft to confirm your not using it on a different PC.

    Re: SATA 6G SSDs

Thanks for the info; that sounds fine. How shall I put in the order given the current Vengeance system doesn't have the Vertex 3 SSD option?
