Unhappy 560 ti SLI or AMD 6950 CF for ArmA?

I am buying a new 3XS gaming computer for Arma 2 and Arma 3 and I was planning to get 2x gtx 560 ti's, but 2x AMD 6950's in CF are way better for only £15 more, but they don't have physX and arma 3 out next year will majorly support/need that, also are AMD drivers any good for Arma?.

I perfer nvidia but maybe I could flash the 6950's to 970's in the future if the I5 doesn't bottleneck them, what do you guys think would sell second hand better late 2012?.

    My spec is:
    I5 2500k OC 4.7 (Arma 2 doesn't support hyperthreading so I5 instead of I7, allthough Arma 3 might)
    8GB Ram
560 ti SLI or AMD 6950 CF
Dell U2311h ultrasharp ips 1080p monitor
    850w corsair HXpsu.

Thank you for any help recived

Re: 560 ti SLI or AMD 6950 CF for ArmA?

Personally I'd go for the 6950's due to the ability to unlock them to 6970s.. not all models from all manufacturers can be unlocked though, so you'd have to do a bit of research before you bought them. Lack of physX is not a big problem in my humble opinion, as only a few games make use of it (as far as I am aware). As for drivers, I've read an article where a single 6950 was running Arma 2 at 5760x1080 flawlessly, so no problems there!
    And I wouldn't have thought the i5 2500K would cause a bottleneck.
    Hope this helps!
