Ok, so after many many weeks of swapping and changing and reading good and bad reviews and trowling through forums and trying to decide out of scan, overclockers, or pc specialists I finally put my order in earlier today with scan...I'm just hoping that all goes well and i'm kept up to date with the build process and proved that I made the right choice

ok so i got an e mail thanking me for my order, then shortly after from philip saying my order had been passed to his department and that they were checking stock to make sure they had everything and if there was a stock issue they would email me to let me know. That was 2 days ago, so I contacted customer services to see if everything was in stock so my pc could be built, I was told that the gfx card had been out of stock and had just came in today...isnt this what phil was supposed to have emailed me about? am I about to start the process of being kept in the dark like so many others, would this have happened if I had used someone else....we will wait and see if I get any sort of progress report as the build goes on or whether I will spend the next couple of weeks phoning up until it is ready for delivery.

Would you believe I received an email 20 mins after my last post? anyway it was nice to get an update even if my system isnt being started until 3rd August anyway I now have a build number so I can track it at each stage although its not recognised atm i'm assuming it has to be updated into the scan system. So, after that brief pause with no comms we're now back on track, roll on august 3rd and October 25th

Now you just have to wait for a month before they start building it!! I have been waiting since the 7th of July, its still at the memory test phase!

I had an email saying the build was booked in for 3 August with a view to being ready on 8th so fingers crossed.

The build never started until the 4th due to unforseen problems but at least I was notified, once it started I have been regularly informed of every stage right up to the system built stage and I have just finished speaking to nick to arrange the delivery. This is the first system I have ever ordered from scan and I know some ppl have had problems but I can only speak of my own experience and so far I am really pleased with the communication I have received, Scan have done their bit exactly how they advertise they do, now lets see how the delivery goes. Its meant to be coming Wednesday 1.15pm.
