The minidump file should indicate what is causing the issue, what I can't tell you is where you can find out what that minidump refers to.

    This might help http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315263

I am not sure on the bundles but you should have 2 bios profiles, one standard and the other overclocked, try loading the standard bios and see if things improve.

That link I put has a feature you can install to see what the minidump refers to.

Or try what Jon suggested, looks to me like what you need to tell you what the minidump is referring to.

If it's only when you're trying to play a game it could be to do with the graphics or sound card.

    Re: 3xs bundle blue screening

If you're not too comfortable diagnosing this sort of stuff yourself I'm sure you can call the Scan 3XS helpline as if it's a bundle they put together I would imagine it is under some kind of warranty. They'll probably ask you to send in the windows dump file and they'll be able to diagnose what the fault is. Unfortunately I guess you'll have to wait till tuesday now

Had a quick look for BCCode: 101 and came across this forum thread: http://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-d...-101-bsod.html

One of the guys there say it could be a CPU issue: http://www.sevenforums.com/crash-loc...oubleshtg.html

It looks as though if it is the same error as what they are describing they fixed it by sending the CPU back.

Here is a thread on BCcode 50: http://www.techsupportforum.com/foru...-a-300759.html

This appeared to be a RAM issue which was fixed by replacing the RAM.

Anyway, it does look to me as though speaking to Scan would be the best way forward in case the bundle does need to be sent back.

Hopefully somebody far more knowledgeable than me though might be able to give you a fuller understanding of the issue and a possible fix if it's not faulty hardware.

    Good luck

It can't find any, no minidump folder in Windows, is it the Debug folder instead, and I had to set it in advanced to save a 256kb file rather than what it was on, I think it should work next time it crashes, which hopefully won't happen

    Re: 3xs bundle blue screening

    I did this
the log file will be %systemroot%\Minidump which is normally C:\windows\Minidump

if the files don't exist then setup your system to record them ;-
1.Go to Start and type in sysdm.cpl and press Enter
    2.Click on the Advanced tab
3.Click on the Startup and Recovery Settings button
4.Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked
5.Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box
6.Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump << where your .dmp files can be found later

Click OK twice to exit the dialogs, then reboot for the changes to take effect.

    Re: 3xs bundle blue screening

BSOD again, no minidump folder to point Nirsoft to, how do I get the info for the crash, hit print screen as it BSOD or is there another way, doesn't seem like it can handle the large files as well as my old Spectrum, much quicker but not as stable so far, buggery, don't need it, got tonnes of work to do and twins being born tomorrow morning, blasted technology!
