Hello guys,
I purchased a 3XS gaming laptop (17.3" Clevo P170EM 7970 6235), which arrived yesterday. After spending the day getting it set up, I closed it down last night. This morning, I am unable to get it to power on.
I'm just wondering if anyone has any advice. The laptop is fully charged and the battery LED is solid green, indicating a full charge. The power LED is solid orange, indicating that a power source is connected.
When I press the power button, the battery and power LEDs flash green for a moment, then turn off and return to the green/orange state mentioned above. I assume powering on is just a case of pressing or holding the power button, which I've tried numerous times to no avail. If I hold the power button down, the battery LED goes off and the power LED blinks green. There's also a faint clicking sound that accompanies the blinking power LED when I'm holding down the power button. I've tried removing the battery several times as well as trying to power it up with the mains power connected and disconnected.
The power button is functioning as I can press the function key and power button at the same time to toggle the USB powered ports (which makes the power LED blink orange).
I'm thinking that something is screwed, but just thought I'd post here in case anyone has any advice. Any tips or suggestions gratefully received. I've tried calling Scan Tech Support, but can't get through (I assume they're closed at the weekend). Proper gutted as I bought this laptop for a trip I'm taking in 2 weeks, and I'm now worried it will be repairing and I'll be without it for my trip
