Has anyone purchased the above laptop and spec'd the 8700K?

I'm looking for a desktop replacement with an 8700K. Mainly for Football Manager and Total War games.

I've read that the temps on this chassis get extremely high and the only way around it is to delid the CPU.

Does anyone have any experience with the 3XS version and how are the temps? Could the CPU be delid on this device by a novice?
