    Faulty HDD - postage reimbursement

    Hi guys,

I am in the process of running estool.exe for the 2nd time on a likely faulty 640Gb Samsung HDD. 1st scan detected 3 errors in the drive and recommended a low level format and further scan.

The HDD is still under warranty as checked on Samsung's website.

    My question is:

I have before RMA'd one drive to Rexo no probs, however I have never been refunded postage costs. I have also RMA'd a DFI motherboard and RAM direct to Scan and never received a postage reimbursement.

I praise Scan as a very very good e-tailer. I just want to find out how to claim postage back as components are still under warranty and it is not fair for end-user to pay postage for replacement of a faulty item.

I might log a RMA request later today after tests are finished.

Can someone from Scan explain how the postage reimbursement work?

    Regards,

***I have done a low level formatting and surface scan again. HDD seems to be okay. I will keep an eye though.

***Still would appreciate if Scan staff add comments to the postage reimbursements for faulty, still under warranty, components.

Please use the RMA section on our site as first contact point, as the returns team will look at these queries ahead of the forum.
