    NO signal

    Hello All,

    new poster

    Anyway built a pc after 6 years put everything together but get no signal on screen. Everything apart from graphics card is new, grpahics card works on current pc

    I know monitor works fine as I using it.

    I have reseated everything, also there are no post beeps, tried with 1 RAM and swapped then tried both no joy. It powers up fine light comes on motherboard all fans work no burning smell from mobo.

    So not sure whats the problem ? any suggestions?

    Does it have onboard graphics? If so plug monitor in there, go to bios and make sure the graphics card option is changed from onboard to PCI/E.

    What board is it?

    Other thing it could be is that the boards current BIOS revision doesn't support your CPU. Many boards require a BIOS update for certain CPUs. This is a catch 22 as you need a supported CPU to update the BIOS. You can check this on the support pages for the motherboard

    Also check that the RAM and CPU are on the supported list for the mobo
