So around a week ago this popped up on my Seagate drive (LN26886, I think) and has steadily increased to a total of 4015 re-allocated sectors.
Does it need to be replaced?

Deffo, reallocated sector count is a bad block effectively which got moved to prevent data loss.
RMA the drive and iirc if under 30days from purchase you can RMA directly to scan [don't quote me on this one]

Thanks spoon_, now I suppose I'll hope for some information from Scan regarding whether or not the RMA would be through them - and if so, how I would go about it from here.
Quickest method is to either ring or place a query via our website (see sig) - as the returns team check those methods before the forum.
