I recently purchased this optical disk drive:

I received it on Tuesday (haven't had a chance to contact Scan about this issue at all yet), but the box was slightly damaged and there was no sealing on the packaging at all (in the past products have been shrink-wrapped, or some kind of security tape at least on the tab). The disc drive and accessories were loose in open plastic bags. There was also no protective tape (that clear sticky plasticy stuff) on the the product, which is what has been the norm with products I've purchased.
As I've received items in this condition from Scan before, which have then turned out to have been previously used (and sometimes faulty), I thought I'd report it just in case. As it is unlikely I will be able to phone in tommorow also, I'd appreciate it if someone could look into this as soon as possible for me.
