    cracking/tapping noise inside PSU

my 3xs system seems to be developing a fault from what im hearing, theres a popping or crackling noise coming from inside the psu, has become almost constant at times.

is my system about to implode?

after turning the computer on this morning the noise had stopped but after about an hour or so it began to slowly return again.

I would stop using it until you talk to scan. Doing otherwise could be idiotic at best. Not to sound harsh but what you are describing is as good a reason as any to shut it down.

ah well this is great, i face an RTB during bank holiday week?
maybe i over described the sound but in hindsight it sounds more like a click every couple of seconds..

nothing but issues with this system since i ordered it.

    Re: cracking/tapping noise inside PSU

the sound has changed to what the poster above has described, the clicking no longer occures but now the fan sounds rather worn out or loose.

its only a couple weeks old .
