Hi,

I've had this drive for a good few months however I think that I may have an issue with it.

When I play games (which are stored on it) I get some really annoying stuttering.

I've tried formatting, new drivers, tweaks to the game but for the life of me I cannot fix these stuttering issues.

Last night I ran the WD DLG Extended test and although it passed the test after 6 hours+ it made some horrendous noises during the test. At one point in the test the time remaining rocketed to 24 hours plus, whilst it made some really uncharacteristic sounds. After a short while these sounds stopped and the time remaining came back down to a more reasonable estimate.

How reliable are these tests?

The tests are usually quite reliable but I would suggest if the drive is making excessive noise you get it replaced under warranty
