How long for Scan to respond to online query?

I have a month old Asus DirectCU GTX 570 graphics card that is unstable in some games out of the box unless the voltage is increased. I reckon this is indicative of a faulty card. I placed a RMA request using the online form on Saturday (I appreciate they are unlikely to respond during the weekend) but I've yet to receive any kind of response. I was given the ref OLQ******

Interestingly I placed another online query yesterday using the support form as I wasn't sure the first one had been received and got exactly the same reference number! I would suggest that as a bare minimum the online forms should send an acknowledgement back to the given email address.

Anyway, I am very reluctant to call the 0871 telephone no given the call charges I'm likely to incurr.

I've never had to RMA anything before but I did choose Scan based on the rave reviews I've seen on the net but so far I am rather disappointed.

We answer queries as fast a possible but generally are quite fast depending on how busy we are. As I looked I can see you have been replied to. Please let me know if you require anymore help.

    Kind Regards

    Hi,

Please accept our apologies for the delay in responding to you via our query system.

I can see that Adam has responded asking what games the problem occurs in, i.e. is it all or just some? if the cards needs to be returned this information will hopefully help us to quickly replicate the reported problem.

If you could please respond via the query system with the requested information.

    Regards

Re: How long for Scan to respond to online query?

    Hi there,

I did reply yesterday but have yet to receive a response back.

Perhaps you could forward this response to Adam?

The worst offending game is Battlefield 3 which will crash within a minute or so but sometimes as soon as the game starts. I have also had crashes in Dirt 2 and Dirt 3.

Just for the record again I've replaced my PSU with a brand new unit and also swapped back my previous GTX 460 card. I've even done a rebuild of Windows. It was following advice on a forum that I found that increasing the standard voltage from 1.025v to 1.050v reduced the problem. This I have been told is indicative of a sub standard GPU which I am not happy with. Certainly it is reasonable to expect something to work out of the box and I would not be able to sell this card when the time comes.

    Regards,

    Matt.
