I ordered a HD204UI Samsung 2TB F4EG drive on 3rd and it was delivered to me on the 6th. I had a look at it yesterday and the drive states that it is the HD204UI/Z4 - the refurbished version which has lower performance. Nowhere in the invoice or on the order ( or indeed the product page ) does it state that it is the Z4 version.
How do I go about returning this and getting the non-Z4 version ? And why doesn't SCAN indicate what version of the drive the customer is getting ?
Update: Checked the drive serial number against the Seagate/Samsung database and confirmed that it is a Z4 with a 2 year warranty instead of the three year warranty that the normal HD204UI models have.
