    Asus P8Z77-v

Hi guys ordered this board along with a CPU and the CPU works fine, however the first two ram slots do not work. I get the RAM led showing on. When I move the slots into the last two slots everything works fine.

How do I go about returning the board? I have looked on the scan site, but can't find an easy way yo generate an RMA, and this is quite urgent, it's my sons birthday on Saturday.

I have tried a single ram stick in each different slot and the first two are definitely of working.

Please let me know soon as scan.

    Thanks
    Hugo

    Hi Mick,

Thanks for your reply, Spoke to one of your customer services agen who said because I tried to install the board then the only way I can get a replacement was to go via scansure insurance, i am sure this is incorrect and not the law, but she remained pretty adamnt, So I was adivsed that she would RMA the board, but not for faulty arrival, instead under the insurance, si this correct?

    hmig,

The only reason you would need to claim under Scansure is if you had damaged the motherboard during installation.

If the board has a fault and is not physically damaged then we would issue a standard return, please can you advise if the board is damaged?

    Kind regards,

    Hi Mick,

After speaking further to the agent, I finally understood what she was saying, bascaily there are some bent pins on the cpu pins, that why she said she would advise to do it under scansure, so in this case I beleuve she stands corrected.
