    Corsair Vengeance RMA

    Hi,

I found last week that one of my RAM sticks was faulty and I managed to organise an RMA for them (they were Corsair Vengeance 8GB - 2x4GB).

According to the DPD tracking number they were delivered to Scan on Thursday morning, but on the Scan tracking website the RMA is still just "authorised."

I called earlier and the lady mentioned they were quite back logged and still working through Tuesdays' delivery.

The problem is, though, I'm leaving the country on the 16th (this coming Sunday) and my PC is going with me. Is there some way to ensure I get my new RAM back by then?

    Thanks in advance.

If it wasn't DOA, then it might be that you waiting longer than you have as I'm pretty sure they will have to send it off to Corsair after testing it, not 100% depends what deal they have with SCAN.

Best bet is to get on the phone and explain the issue.

    Re: Corsair Vengeance RMA

    Thanks for the advice.

I have been on the phone to Scan this week and everything was looking good - I was told my replacement memory had been authorised yesterday. I rang up today to check why it hadn't been dispatched and have been told that it's out of stock.

The stuff I had ordered and sent back was this stuff: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/8gb-(...9-9-24-xmp-15v

Yesterday, it was in stock, but apparently it's since gone out of stock.

I explained the situation to the guy on the phone, and that I need it back but tomorrow, and asked if he could just send me some of this stuff: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/8gb-(...9-9-24-xmp-15v

Which is basically identical except for the price, but he says due to the price difference it can't be done.

I have to say I feel quite let down by Scan. I ended up with faulty RAM, which took quite a long time to get tested and what not, and now would be expected to wait even longer to get a replacement, because they haven't got the right colour stuff in. If this was my only PC, I'd have been without one for more than a week and still have no idea when I'd be able to use it again.

Now I've got to look around and see where I can get some cheap RAM delivered by tomorrow.

    Re: Corsair Vengeance RMA

    Harrybizzle,

Having looked at this query I have requested that the LN40235 Corsair Memory Vengeance Low Profile Blue 8GB DDR3 1600 MHz CAS 9 XMP Dual Channel Desktop memory is shipped to you, please be aware that I cannot give a 100% guarantee that this will be with you tomorrow but I will try my best for you.

    Kind regards,

    Re: Corsair Vengeance RMA

    Thanks, Mick, that's fantastic.

Thank you so much. On a lot of the forums I frequent (rllmuk, grcade, somethingawful) , Scan is the number 1 recommended retailer and everyone says it's for a reason.

    Regards,

    Harry.
