    Rma 290057‏

    Hi, I am interested in an update over RMA 290057.

    I returned a DoA XFX 7950, as the fan was not functioning properly. I was informed that scan.co.uk received the returned item on the 11/12/12, and that it was forwarded to the supplier/ manufacturer, and that I would receive further updates. A week past and I heard nothing, so I sent another email asking for another update. All I was told was that they were looking into it.
    Now, nearly a month later, and nothing new, I was wondering if I could get a real response here.

    Also, I was interested in either a refund, or credit, as I would prefer to get another card, instead of the one I returned.

    Hi,

    Please note the card was not DOA, goods delivered 06/11 fault reported 04/12 customer indicated the card was working fine initially then the fan began to make a grinding noise.

    I can confirm the card has been returned to XFX for testing. I will chase it up first thing in the morning for you.

    Well, it seems I used a poor choice of words. The fan always sounded strange, but it just got worse with time.

    Hi,

    XFX have updated the status of this card to "faulty" on their returns database so I have requested a free of charge warranty replacement is shipped out for you today.

    While I'm glad that this has been resolved, and I don't mean to be awkward, but I was wondering if a refund is possible? I was interested in upgrading to another card, and to pay the difference.
