RMA: vertex plus SSD drive

hi

i posted this a month or two ago and was asked to do some test with hd tune and crystal disc etc and i run them all and they appeared fine. however, the drive performs well for about an hour then i get a blue screen of death. the laptop reboots and says missing boot device/boot device missing. i switch off and on and then the windows screen comes up but sits for ages and ages before moving. after a while, same thing happens.

now i beleive it's the R2 version so the 1.2 firmware is correct - according to OCZ forums. i did download the 3.55 but that kept failing to do anything even when the right drive was selected.

can i raise an RMA for a refund as i have no faith in the drives.

well, they responded very quickly and raised an RMA. i will ship it back tomorrow. they will offer a replacement or a similar product. i highlighted i didn't want another but i'll wait and see what they do.

just to let you know, they replaced the drive with a like for like replacement. i haven't tested it yet but all sorted.
