    Rma

    Hello,

This is ludicrous, myself and my friend checked for track damage before sending this off and there was absolutely no trace of any. I securely packaged this up in a box with anti static and air bubbles, so I am extremely confused to as why this would be rejected for track damage, having sent boards off previously with a few minor scuffs and RMA has never been an issue and this board is in what i would call excellent condition I am extremely perplexed that you are happy to try and pin this on me? especially on such an old and inexpensive board!

Look forward to your response, I have some 'ram' also on its way to you and if you deal with this in a similar way I will never order with you again.

    Walkerie,

Having taken a look at the motherboard I can see that there are damaged tracks towards the end of the motherboard consistent with improper installation of PCI cards, the tracks have been broken in multiple places as such MSI will reject the warranty due to physical damage.

We can return to the motherboard to them on your behalf to see if a repair is possible, however we cannot guarantee a timescale for a repair to be carried out and there is a charge of £25 + VAT to cover the costs of processing this for you providing the repair is successful.

I have added a photo showing the damage present to the motherboard:

Please note that the CPU socket protector was not in place when our engineers opened the box, fortunately there was no damage present to the socket.

    Kind regards,

    Kind regards,
Thank you for looking into this, in regards to the CPU socket, I must admit that I did send with the cpu cover, great news that they are untampered with.

In relation to the PCI scratches, the lifts for slots were broken upon arrival however this did not bother me as the board booted and worked perfectly. (Was trying to do scan a favour)

However I notice that from your picture you have uncovered some scratches would have been on that board from the first month or so of having it years ago.

If I am to have the board returned to me is there a cost involved?
