Hello,
I recently purchased a set of components from scan; motherboard, cpu & memory. After putting my build together I realised that although I read the motherboard supported multi gpu it didn't actually support SLi and was Crossfire only, which meant the board was not appropriate for my needs. Obviously didn't do my research well enough but there we go. I phoned scan and told them that I wanted to cancel this part of the order and the reasoning behind it and the customer care guy said it would be fine, raised an RMA request and I sent back the motherboard at my own expense of £13 insured and signed for delivery. The motherboard was sent in the same condition that it was delivered in, apart from the opened box etc.
I have received an automated email today from scan saying that my RMA has been rejected. There is no further information, and I was 10 minutes too late noticing the email as their customer service dept has just shut. Today is the 7th working day of receiving the motherboard and I now feel that I should be informing them of my right to cancel under the distance selling regulations. However I cannot find any email information to contact them and any webnotes I have sent in the past have been ignored.
Can anyone provide any advice?
Thanks
