Re: Motherboard RMA No Fault Found

I'm glad to see Scan Staff are patrolling the thread not to help but to moderate people that might be of help out of my thread.
Don't mean to offend under any circumstance but this isn't helping my case much. I'd appreciate it if you'd rather use your resources to help my case rather than moderate potentially useful posters out of my thread.

    Thanks.

I do not work for returns. The correct department will be in contact with you tomorrow.

I was pointing out the rules for this area - which do not include having other people commenting on threads.

Re: Motherboard RMA No Fault Found

Eventually agreed to pay the fee of £20.
Called on Saturday hoping that I could time the return for Monday so I could put my computer back together and have it ready for when I get back in 3 weeks.
Guess not - got declined because apparently Scan doesn't take payment on weekends or the fellow responsible for payments wasn't there.

16th day still no parts - was told it takes 5-7 days usually.
I expected to get sorted quick, faulty or not.

Quite staggering how long it takes for 2 tests. And the communication, or lack thereof.
Funnily when I asked to have my parts returned, the next morning I had a mail about paying the return and testing fee.

Ironic seeing the Scan adverts around "Why customers love scan", Award Winning Service, Satisfaction, when it's quite the contrary in my case, and many other fellas out there that had the misfortune (no seriously go google "scan rma no fault found", "scan co uk reviews" or trustpilot.co.uk).
Feels like I've been missing out for 2 weeks (and counting) for absolutely nothing.

Re: Motherboard RMA No Fault Found

    Hi,

I can see that a member of staff called you back this morning as agreed and arrangements have been made to return the parts back to you for the 26th when you return.

My apologies that we were unable to process the payment on Saturday but we run Skeleton staff on the returns department at weekends.

A normal turnaround is on average 5 - 7 working days, obviously due to the nature of the reported fault and the re-tests carried out it is inevitable that the testing would take longer in this situation.

Of course people are not happy when something they believe to be faulty is tested with no faults found, understandably these people are the most unhappy and vocal and tend to voice opinions on forums/review sites etc.

But please understand however in the vast majority of cases of goods returned to SCAN the goods are tested within our quoted time frame and where applicable replacement/refunds issued.

    Regards
