I presume this is an error, but when a hard drive is replaced under RMA, should I not receive a new drive?
The replacement drive I received was a 512GB Crucial MX100 SSD as expected and agreed, but instead of having the normal Crucial sealing sticker / label with serial numbers, etc, it was just a yellow ESD warning sticker (like you get inside).
Having now plugged this into my PC, I discover that it really isn't a new drive and actually is a used drive and has a full Windows 7 install with a "Paul" user account on it and drivers for an Asus motherboard
As of tomorrow (Monday 4th), I'll be out of the UK working for two weeks, but can probably arrange for this drive to be picked up. I can PM further information if required (unique number above the Scan LN / warranty sticker, serial number of the SSD, etc).
