Unhappy Serious NVIDIA Shield Tablet issues...

Received the Shield Tablet on launch day (14th Aug) and it is developing structural fault (cracked edges) which seems to be a quality control issue that NVidia has acknowledged. On top of that there is weak and intermittent Wi-Fi and dysfunctional USB OTG which are also issues that NVIDIA have acknowledged.

Thread with numerous people picturing and discussing the cracked plastic complete with admission of the problem by a rep:
    forums.geforce.com/default/topic/766370/shield-tablet/cracked-edges/

Thread with people discussing poor Wi-Fi, also acknowledging:
    forums.geforce.com/default/topic/764386/shield-tablet/horrible-wi-fi-performance

    Thread discussing dysfunctional OTG:
    forums.geforce.com/default/topic/765599/shield-tablet/shield-tablet-and-otg-y-cable/

All the threads referenced above have mods confirming these issues with rather vague responses.

With that in mind, do I have grounds to return for a refund? What is the policy?
What are my options, given that it has only been in my possession for 4 days now and my crack is still relatively small but growing?

    Kind regards,
It could have been such a great tablet. Near perfect for my needs. Sad to see it go. Hope nvidia fixes these issues in the following months.

I have to say, it was rather smooth and painless getting an RMA. I'm hopeful that the rest of the return process will be just as easy. I'll update.

    Cheers scan

    UPDATE:
Customer support quickly resolved a minor confusion with the shipping cause by DPD.

Just one day following SCAN's reciept of the goods they have authorised a refund.

Previously i have spent a few thousand £ over the course of two years as a private customer with scan and have never had to contact their support service.

Now that i have contacted them i can say that it was a very fast and easy first experience with scan support. This is how it should be. Thank you.
