    Financed Order

    Hi Scan...

I've just placed my order with you, been waiting for my shopping list items to come back into stock and today they are all there with the added bonus of CPU / DVD / GPU and Dell 24" screen on special in today only!

I've chosen the buy now pay in 9 months option. Been through, got approved, printed the paperwork and it's already signed and in the post. So that went quite smoothly.

My question is, I've received no confirmation of the order (even in some kind of pending state) from Scan, so does that mean that you won't accept the order until the finance has gone through and if so, presumably I won't have been allocated the stock and it may be out of stock again by the time you do accept the order?

PS: How long will the finance company take to "approve" my order with you?

The only thing I can see refering to an order no on the finance paperwork is removed but I can't see anything showing in "my account".

    Thanks

    Barry

Yes, the stock is only allocated when the paperwork has been fully authorised.

Approval time - depending on if you have completed the documents correctly (surprisingly many people do not know how to sign their names.... ) is normally fairly quick.

I've removed the reference - I'll check availability of the goods. Currently the orders do not show in my account - although this will be amended in the near future apparently.

I'll mail you a confirmation when I receive your order. This will have the invoice number so you can track the status.

Stocks are very good of pretty much all the items you've ordered... so if you've sent the docs off today, and we receive authorisation on Monday - you should be fine.

    Hi David,

Thanks for checking all of that for me. I'll be gutted if something goes out of stock now as I've been holding off with the order until the main items were shown in stock.

I didn't realise that the stock wouldn't be allocated straight away, I probably would've just paid by credit card if I'd known!

Anyway, I've signed both copies and sent proof of address back within 15 minutes of receiving the forms and they've been posted 1st class, so hopefully they'll be there tomorrow morning if not Monday morning.

PS: I've been researching this for a while, my friend has also placed an order for exactly the same kit (albeit not on finance) about 2 minutes after mine, it would be sooooo unfair if he get's his and I don't so I'm relying on you to see to it since I brought in the extra custom!

We cannot allocate stock for the order until we've recieved it for many reasons - but one example would be that if you'd changed your mind after placing the agreement... then other customers could be stuck waiting, whilst yours where not being claimed.

Anyway, you've sent the documents off quickly - which is the important thing (Some people can take a very, very long time to do this!)

    Hi David,

sorry to be a pain. Should I be able to see this order in "View Previous Orders" when I log into my account? Only if so I cannot see it?

    Cheers

Not possible at the moment sorry. But parcel tracking will give you an update of the status.

    Hi David,

no worries about the previous order link, I didn't realise I could track it with the invoice number from the delivery page.

Talking of which, any news on when it might be picked and despatched please?

Bad news is my pal's was shipped yesterday so he's rubbing that in big time!
