It's almost worth having a selection of kit for problems like this. I'd say most downtime problems could be fixed by a spare PSU, a cheap graphics card and a spare 512MB stick of DDR2 RAM.

Could someone confirm that goods returned under warranty cannot be refunded. I'm fairly sure they can't but I have to ask anyway.
No you cannot be refudned after 7-8 months and as per the other few posts, send back the memory when your essays are completed and your system is not as essential.
PM me your RMA number and an estimate of how long it will be before you can return the relevent item and i will make a note of it on your RMA, after all you have lifetime warranty so a few weeks delay before you can return the memory is pretty much irrelevent to us.
Once we have both sticks we will get some new memory out to you.

My 2p: copy your work and use a library computer, if you're at uni (I assume you are?) they're free to use, and you may find (as I do) that you get your work done much faster .
Just a general life tip, nothing official or anything. But might tide you over in the short term.
Again I thank people for their astonishly good advice on waiting. (Would not have thought of that). Sarcasm aside, I don't think you got the point behind my questions i.e finding an alternative way other than waiting for another 2 months. Anyway since it seems that's not possible I will have to wait.
P.s library comp. are full all the time. It's like sardines fighting for food down there.
