Thread: Daewoo Monitor and RMA problem

    Daewoo Monitor and RMA problem

    I recently received a Daewoo L2200 monitor and have written to customer services explaining that i am not happy with the quality of the display. I explained that it suffers from considerable backlight bleed at the top and bottom of the screen.

    This is within the first 7 days ( 2 in fact ) and what i would like to do is return this item and have it replaced with the LG 22 inch monitor.

    I have just received an RMA request and an email stating that i will get a refund only if the item tests to be faulty? I have never said it was faulty, although of course it may be, and i am a little confused by this reply.

    Can someone clear this up for me?

    Edit: For reference, a while ago i bought a graphics card from yourselves, tried it, found it to be not as fast as I expected and swapped it for the next card up, paying the difference with no problems at all. This is all i want to do here, the monitor is simply not what i was expecting.

    I was thinking of getting the Daewoo but will get the LG if you think it's better - please advise - I mean have you read any reviews etc.

    Did you managed to swap it for the LG?

    Just get a LG or if you can afford it get a Dell or NEC one

    I was going to get the Dell 22" but then the Samsung 226 won PC Pro's A List award over the Dell.

    Then I read about Samsung's naff customer service with the 205 (if the stand fails they replace the monitor with a refurbished one rather than just the stand ).

    Thought I would get the Daewoo 22" and then along came the LG - so undecided

    I have seen the LG working in a local shop since I ordered the Daewoo and it has far better image quality with no bleed that i could see, whereas the Daewoo has bad bleed imho and the colours are a bit weak/washed out.

    Basically the Daewoo is pretty poor compared to the LG ( especially given the difference in price ) and no they won't exchange the monitor but they will give me a full refund for it and then i can order the LG....

    To be honest i thought a simple exchange would be easier for them but apparently not

    Didn't you pay more for the Daewoo? The LG was on Today Only £190 yesterday so would be cheaper for you?
