Delivery "carded" but there was no card and I was in all day

Thats my invoice number. I dont want for this to be typical delivery where I have to go to my local office even though I was in when on the day.

However, the explaination for not delivering my goods was that they tried and left a card; this is untrue. There is no card here.

Have they come at all and not knocked the door hard enough? Or are did they just not attempt delivery? There is no card here so Im thinking the latter this time, whereas its the former usually.

The amount of times when Ive been in when they deliver.. argh.

Scan billed me in 10mins but my goods wait from Tuesday to Friday only to fail to arrive? I know its free delivery but this is too annoying.

Ask them what colour the door is, if they don't know or guess wrong, they didn't card or try to deliver.

Oh, and the delivery is the same whether it is free or charged, there is no difference in service level

Oh, and best to remove your order no from the post, and PM it to one of the mods - I usually pick on Lee @ Scan.

    Hmm, that is Citylink.
I had the same problem some time ago, but not with scan.
Ordered a TFT from Aria, was also sent out with Citylink.
I was in the whole day, looked on the website, carded.
But no card was there. I was even on the way to them to pick up my delivery, but they couldn't find it.
I ordered 2 items from Scan, they all were delivered with Citylink, and no problems so far.
But from my recent experiences with Citylink, I would rather use a different courier then Citylink.
    Just my 2 cents.

I think Citylink have a good scam going.
They gat paid to deliver packages, but don't. They pretend they try to deliver, and what happens is that most people have to go out to pick up the package themselves, saving citylink the cost of delivering.

It has happened many times to me, with Citylink. In Nottingham, Coventry, Leamington, Burton. The same result in them all. Lies about what they have done.

Citylink , google the keyword and read customer experience. even someone says, their courier were left (very safetly) in a bush behind the garden. They knock on wrong door, leave items with neighbour etc etc.

The same thing happens with Royal mail. Ive had to drive out to the depot to collect.

Im going to leave a note out to say that I am in and to knock the door so I can hear them. I think the bell doesnt work sometimes. If they knock the door I will hear them cause I hear every letter being delivered.

It's pretty common to just about every carrier company out there because most of them have similar policies of penalising drivers for non-deliveries and not penalising them for "yellow card left".

The flipside of this though is customers who fall into the usual trap and pop out for five minutes, only to find it was in that five minutes that the carriers have tried to deliver

I agree with you... add Bradford to that list.

It took 5 collection attempts for citlink to collect my faulty goods. They claimed 3 of those times they had been to collect and 3 times they lied! This isn't the first time I have had problems with citylink. Scan also tried to charge me for "testing" the faulty item... not impressed after £XX in phone calls (despite help from a very nice girl in customer services who deserves 10 gold stars) and not so much as a written apology from any management.

I now refuse to buy anything from Scan over the net.

When-ever possible (not too big and heavy for me to lug home on my 2 hour journey) I have orderes delivered at work if it is via City-Link (Scan, eBuyer...).

They have always left a card.... but as my wife is home most of the time when they come, how hard they try the actually ring the bell is debateable. Some of theit drivers are good though, but some are terrible!
Try to make each and every day the best it can be.

Citilink guy knows i live in ground floor. Instead of ringing the bell and coming thru' front door, he just knock on window and always want to deliver it thru' window (even it happened today, as i had a delivery from scan)

It would be a strange post person that did not try and deliver, the paperwork you have to fill in when you return with undeliverd item makes it a pain so most will do their utmost to deliver. Unless someone is a constantly whinging git(not directed at you megatron) then every postman I have ever known will just be as awkward as the awkward customer. Right or wrong that maybe but constantly being moaned at for the slightest thing tends to get up your nose after a while and revenge is sweet.
