Onboard sound problems P5B-VM

Got a ASUS P5B-VM with onboard sound problems (mostly mic).

Scan have issued me a RMA for it.

Could it be easy for me to just but a cheap sound card instead? (ie I take it the RMA process takes a while) Though I can't see where in the bios I can disable the onboard sound?

What Bios does it have?
Look for Nvidia Audio.
