    RMA'd item definately faulty

I have RMA'd a graphics card and have received an email back saying that the item is fine.

The problem is that the card black screens (no video) after approx 20 mins to an hour and i am not sure if it has been tested for that long. The card does the same thing in three other computers and i have also tried other cards that are exactly the same (as i bought a few) and they work fine which rules out the PCs and pretty much identifies the card being at fault.

Just wondering where i go from here as it looks like i am stuck with a faulty card.

    Thanks

I had a similiar thing a few years ago with a Gainward GF4Ti4200. Scan insisted it was fine whereas Gainward found it to be faulty and changed it for me. I would suggest you either insist Scan test the card properly or do what i did and send it direct to the manufacturer.

What Scan's 'testing team' fail to realise is that an intermittent fault may never occur while they are watching e.t.c and just because the product doesn't exhibit a fault for them certainly does not mean the product isn't faulty, as was proved in my case.

it doesnt actually point to just the graphics card and scans technical support will want you to test just about everything i had reboot issues and i had to test memory motherboard graphics card and more and even tho i knew it was motherboard i still had to send scan the cpu and motherboard so you will need to go into more testing.

I was going to ask that.

They have a flaw and it causes this.
