ETA on LN17373 EVGA 8800 GTS 640MB

Any ETA on when you guys could be expecting this?

Think that and the 6600 are the only things that are on Pre Order - but i see that you get 6600's in pretty fast.

It's been overdue since 30/03/07 - so I take it your having a real nightmare getting these back in stock..

I want to go all out and get an Ultra/GTX - but the SUGO SGO1 will fit the card - but then I loose the HDD Caddy - and without that - it means i cant fit 2 x 500GB Western Digi's in for file storage

I'm looking at the SUGO at the moment. The GTS is the best option for it ..but is there no may to modify the sugo to fit 2 hard drives and the gtx.

How will you be dealing with the heat?

Basically you can do 2 options - Build your own HDD rack to sit above the GFX card - like a friend of mine has done who is in the states, or to modify the caddy and move caddy back further towards the case wall - 8800's run pretty warm - so ill upgrade the fans in the case - and use a Nt06 to passively cool the cpu through the PSU.. If i go with the GTX - its means a whole lot of modding though - which since i just modded my SN25P i dont know if i feel like doing it all over again.

A Friend of mine has an 8800 GTX and SUGO - but he's had to go with 1 150Gb Raptor also..

Seems unless you mod the case theres no chance!

a gts will give you pretty good results on your 2407 but a gtx would be awesome..

I suppose the best thing for you to do is get a GTS..and as long as you stick with EVGA you could do the 90 day step up to a GTX if you aren't happy with the results.

thats what I mean by the HDD rack - it can work, takes a little modding - if you want to see an uber sugo - check sudhian and look for Project LOSAIS
