Been overdue, but thanks to Hexus.Net in terms of help spec'ing out a new self-build PC, I'm all up and running.
Aside from £280 on monitor (impulse buy at a shop), and £70 on RAM (out of stock with SCAN) the bulk of £1,000 was spent with SCAN.
All components fine, well packaged. Prices I couldn't baulk at (believe me I did extensive comparisons on an spreadsheet).
I had one problem, which SCAN did resolve really easily. Out of stock item (was in-stock at time of ordering but email said it had been out of stock before I even ordered - tut tut) got it changed ASAP over email, and order delivered.
As for City Link, everything fine aside from one snag - due to the out of stock item the delivery ended up being the one day I wasn't working from home. I'd phoned them, guy said "really appreciate you letting us know, if only other people did that" yep you guessed, the buggers still turned up on that day!
p.s. I did post on my original thread how I should enter up details on trust.net but not had a reply, hence this post.
p.p.s. it's nice to see SCAN having the "visa/mastercard secure" password on their site. I appreciate the biggest benefit is for SCAN and "Card Holder Not Present Fraud" (liability shifted to c'card company rather than SCAN) but it's good peace of mind for me.
