    Been sent a used monitor!

    I needed a new monitor urgently as the old one has packed up. I ordered one yesterday over the phone and SCAN delivered it today morning which is great but it seems you have sent me a used / customer return!

    Now I have to wait till it is picked up, returned to you and checked by you till you refund or replace the monitor. I will have no monitor till then!

    The monitor is quite badly scratched on the back. So are the screws and it looks like they have been removed and used to wall mount the monitor at some point. The monitor will not sit straight on the base and tilts foward considerably. The base it fitted correctly.

    I will now waste another day waiting for collection and delivery of a new monitor.

    Also the delivery was meant to be two packages. The driver didnt have the second package so that is missing too.

    I have just seen this post. http://forums.hexus.net/showthread.php?t=112779 That will help solve the tilting issue. Now just have to decide whether it is worth wasting two days sending back and getting a new one seeing as this monitor is a used / returned one and scratched.

    I have had a single order, which was packaged in two boxes, have one box on one van and another box on another van.

    The first van made it, and the second van sadly got lost on the way.

    It seems like a silly system, but that is the carriers choice.

    Flash is off. It is a glossy finish so hard to photograph.

    Do you have a 'Macro' setting on your camera? It'd help get some clearer pics.

    It seems crazy that a company like Scan would send out a used monitor - that's what you might expect from eBay, lol!

    I have checked movement on this item and can assure you it is a brand new item from Scan, this unit has never been sold by ourselves before and no mistake on restocking has been made.

    Obviously I understand your comments that the item looks second hand and can only then assume this is a mistake by LG directly.

    Please advise how you wish to continue in relation to this.

    Wesley thanks for looking into this. I apologise for assuming it was a customer return that SCAN sent too me. The condition of the item led me to assume this. As you say this must be a mistake by LG.

    Wesley is there any way you can please arrange to collect this monitor and deliver a replacement at the same time? You have my card details so can temporarily reserve funds if needed till you get the monitor back.

    I have logged a QLQ regarding the missing item. OLQ526915

    Returning it for a refund and placing an order for a new would be the quickest way of getting a monitor back.

    Yeah I have done that before with a motherboard as it was damaged by city link... quickest and easiest if you have the spare cash...
