I'm a pretty big fan of Scan, mainly because I've never had to send anything back to you guys! I was a little suprised when my new HDD arrived, barely protected by a thin layer of bubblewrap and a plastic bag. But I disconnected my old HDD and plugged in the new one to see what would happen, the HDD sounded somewhat like a siren, spinning up, then halting. The motherboard didn't show it as connected at all. I tried using Molex power instead of SATA power, same thing. When I tried connecting it to a different port the system failed to POST. Perplexed I tried it on a different system, it failed to show up alongside the other SATA drives, then when I disconnected the other SATA drives and left just the new drive it again failed to detect it on both types of power. After reconnecting the old SATA drives and disconnecting the new one, like the other system it now failed to POST. I'm left with two systems, both of which worked fine previously which now appear to be bricked and a HDD that isn't detected and appears to brick the systems it's put in!
