Awaiting back ordered item that has now been removed from the site

Hello guys, I currently have this item:

    17771 - SSung SH-S183L/BEBM LScrb SATA

On order, but it seems that you've deleted it from the website, so just wondering if I can get an update on if you're going to cancel my order or if you're still awaiting stock of it.

    Thank you.

    That's a slight over exaggeration.

They do seem to be clearing out loads of old stock atm.
Seems to be quite a lots of stuff going end of life, so it gets discounted and sells out fast.

Indeed, although, not really a lot you can discount down a DVD drive by.
The thing is it came back into stock and I received an E-Mail about it, but by the time I got to add it to my basket and check out, it had gone back out of stock again

I guess there's no more of these left, but it's odd because both the Samsung and LG that are EOL are the only SATA Lightscribe drives, so why they're being EOL'd is beyond me (?).

Well the Samsung 203 has been available in a Lightscribe and non-Lightscribe versions since it's launch as far as I am aware, but Scan only do the 203 non-Lightscribe version.

ChrisP, does this mean that Scan are going to be stocking the 203 Lightscribe model soon?

(From what I recall from CDFreaks they were saying that the 183 was a better unit than the 203 anyway, hence why I was after that one specifically).

Re: Awaiting back ordered item that has now been removed from the site

We have checked with our supplier and have confirmed this product has not been added to our new products list as yet by the supplier.

Our suppliers have direct access to our system enabling them to add new products directly onto this list so I will watch out for these for you and as soon as we have more information of specification and price the web site will be updated.

Regarding your outstanding order - If you can confirm an alternative you would like to take I can ensure this order is shipped without further delay.

    Best Regards
