    Question Watercooling query.

    Hello,

Earlier this year I bought, amoungst other things, a Silverstone TJ09S-W case from you guys. I really like this case, and noticed in an old CustomPC that you had used it for a watercooling rig.

Looking up your site, it looks like the one in question is the 3XS Triad "Tian Di Hui"?

Going into a little more detail, I went to see what components you've used to form the setup:
    • Alphacool NexXxoS Xtreme II Radiator - Rev. 2 (Requires x2 120mm fans)
    • Alphacool Repack-cooling slot Black UV Reserves and Compensating Reservoir +UV light (5.25" Rad Box)
    • Alphacool NexXxos XP Sok 775 CPU Cooler
    • Alphacool Laing DDC-Pump 12V Ultra Electronically Commuted Ball-motor Pump

I'm not much of a modder, but I like to tinker. If I buy those items from you, can I install them without cutting my gorgeous TJ09? Are there any tips you could share with me, for this little adventure?

    Thanks,

    --rainy.

    Re: Watercooling query.

    Hi there Rainy,

Seeing as you asked so nicely and your willing to give it a go I'll give you a few pointers to try and point you in the right direction

You've certainly done your homework which I'll give you credit for. Ok first things first you will have to mod your case, only very minor. But either way you'll be able to mask whether you choose to continue with watercooling or not.

    1. Unscrew the two 120mm fan holders in the top of the case
    2. Carefully (watch your fingers) peel back the tabs that secure the top ventilated mesh panel
    3. This is where the modding will take place.. you will see a bar between the two fan mounts
    4. Carefully drill 4 holes that will line up with the inner pair of screw holes on the radiatior

This is the only modding that will be needed. You'll then attach all necessary parts then replace the mesh and fold back tabs.

I realise this may be a little confusing. If you're not in a mad rush to get this sorted, the next time I have a system at my disposale for photographs I'll give you a pictorial rundown. I may have some pics already on another PC so if you can bare with me I'll see what I can come up with.

    Regards,

    Pete
