Interesting thread as I like to buy the quietest components myself. I've just bought a Corsair HX 520 from Scan to replace a 580 watt Hiper Type R and I can confirm that it is 'whisper quiet' as described on the website.

To me a 'Silent' PSU would mean almost unaudable. I like a quiet system and have researched many PSU's and many that state to be 'Silent' are far from that.

Someone recommended SilentPCreview reviews but even they have got it wrong as i have bought recommendations by them only to find that the unit was too noisey for me!!
