    Asus eeepc availablity

    Hi,

Just placed a preorder for a black Asus eeepc (LN20617) which says that stock is expected tomorrow. Anyone from Scan know if this is still the expected ETA, and if I'm going to get one? Not sure if you've had more pre-orders than stock that'll be arriving.

    Many thanks,

    Pete

well mine's been on order with them for some weeks now, I'll be a little dischuffed if I find they are shipping out of sequence (and rather surprised)

According to some people over at the eeeuser forums they've had several shipments over the past few weeks, if you've not received anything from those shipments already then my chances of getting one from the next batch look very slim

We are due deliveries of both models before Christmas - the 2gb version is due in first.

Noticed that the 4gb versions have now been pushed back to after Christmas, any further news about these Scan?

    Re: Asus eeepc availablity

They were due to be arriving today, but it appears this has now slipped due to the high demand for these items and the relatively low availability at the suppliers.

    Best Regards,

Sadly not, that's what I'd hoped, but I've had the money taken from my account

Not good. I had heard OcUK were doing that but I am surprised Scan are.. well maybe not as I suspect a LOT of backorders means lots of cash in their accounts!!

Excellent news Carl. I'll give you guys a ring now to sort out the 4gb SD card that I ordered with my EEE, as it looks like it's out of stock at the moment. Don't want that to delay my order!

That's good, it's out of stock now, but the SD card was reserved when I placed the order! Didn't realize you guys done that, nice one. Have a good Christmas!
