Re: Bfg 9600gt OC2 on outside, but inside not the OC2 ?

But the point is, BFG could have at least branded the card an OC2. The branding and part numbers on the card are all for the OC, not the OC2.

Imagine trying to take it in for trade in and the part numbers read as an OC, rather than OC2.

    Small issue, but still....

yea, but the branding as far as i can see is just a sticker? but in terms of an RMA or trade, if the reciept states the model and BFG have this particular product classed as an OC2 i dont think it would be much of a problem.

but it is not ideal by any means:/

    It's not just the branding.

On the back of the card, the part numbers on the PCB are also for the OC.

Do you think they pulled the OC's back and 'up'ed' them and then re-packaged them ?

of course thats what happened, and also a lack of qulity control. nobody checking to see if theyv packaged em up correctly. doesnt make business sense to create a whole new porduct when you can take the old product and rebradn it just like they did. if it had the correct stickers on it, you would have been none-the-wiser tbh
