Any idea when this will be back in stock? been waiting for this for a while
As per the information displayed on the website, these cases are scheduled to be arriving at the following date ;
Item due on 27 June 2008
There is a PO from the 21st June on the system as well with some of these cases on there, but as yet these have not arrived.
Best Regards,

Didnt see the due date as i've only been looking on the search view to see if the pre-order icon has changed or not.
Maybe it would be a good idea to at least put the due date on the alt or longdesc of the pre-order image.
whats the difference between this v2 and the origional, the price has shot up by over £10, and i cant see any difference. Also, not sure whether its a typo, but on this case you only get x2 120mm fans not three, its pretty confusing!!
i got 3 fans with my CM-690 from scan...
Same, you should have 3 fans, 1 rear 120mm, 1 side 120mm and 1 front 120mm Blue LED.
difference between V1 and V2, in the V2 the front fan mount is different, no fan grill but extra dust filter instead.
Its better IMO, but no deal breaker if you can't get the V2, but AFAIK all CM690 now are V2, and this change was brought out like 1 month or so after initial release.
oh right thanks for the info!,
then there seems to be a typo on the scan product description,
maybe again the scan admin should look at this.
ALso on another point, im thinking of getting either the cm-690 or the antec threehundred, BUT not the antec 900.
any suggestions which one? I hate the design and looks of the 900. Its gotta have fans on the top, back and front for good airflow. And those 2 are the only ones i can think off which do the job and which look good aswell.
feature wise the CM690 is far better, the Antec 300 is cheaper though, but only comes with top and rear fan, you'll need at least 1 more fan for the front HDD cooling.
Quality I can't comment because I've not seen the 300 in the flesh (yet! I will buy for my bro asap) but CM690 is built very well, there are some iffy areas that might need improving (what case doesn't?), but certainly not deal breakers. You get a whole load of bang for your buck IMO.
I'd take the CM-690 everytime. The cooling is fantastic, it's a good quiet case and it has far better cable management.
I'd have the Coolermaster over both the 300 and 900 and I'm a bit of an antec fanboi lol
cheers guys for the info,
i think i will go for the coolermaster, even though its a bit expensive due to v2,
i cant see any other place selling the v2 yet?
as I mentioned there is no official V2 by Coolermaster, they quietly introduced the change very early in the CM690 release, high chance any CM690 you buy will be the newer revision, unless the place has been holding stock for a long time.
When Scan get some in, it'll be V2 for sure.
i don't understand why they increased their prices from £51 to £62. I have a screen shot my system i was about to buy before i changed my mind, have a look at the price of the cm 690!
Scan certinly do not work hard to keep their prices competitive!

I was teetering on the edge of buying one but I held off because of the price to see if it would fall a little bit. I did not expect it to go up by £10. I'm not somebody who'd pay that much for a case so I'll be staying with my cheapo case .
If I didn't know any better I'd say SCAN put the price up after they had a spike in sales a month ago. But it's probably that the manufactorer started charging more (which makes no sense at all, since it's a moderatly old product but whatever).
Cleavage is like the sun...Quick glances.
clearly scan have started charing more, considering what rabiddeathgnome has said its a moderatly old product, with greater competition from antec 900
So its makes no sense wahtsoever that coolermaster have started charging more, so the only explaination is that scan have just put the price up as simple as that!
This has been mentioned in threads before, but SCAN aren't increasing the prices.
When/ if the supplier increases prices, SCAN's website updates the prices automatically so SCAN aren't playing any part in the prices going up.
To be honest i think it would be good if people read other threads instead of posting without prior knowledge.
