Thread: Overdue order.

    Unhappy Overdue order.

    As info@scan.co.uk is bouncing mails, and i can't find any other address on the site nor is the sales person who i placed the order with responding, i'm posting here in an attempt to get some response.

    Since i sent this mail last friday, the status is still on memory test, i have received no further update on the completion date, and no response to the mail. My username is the same as i used to place the order if this is enough to track it by, if not let me know and i will paste order number. Note the original order on scan site shows status as 'complete', which i guess was from the original mistake of sending me the stock items instead of building it.

    For any random curious people, the system ordered was a scan isotope Ix, watercooled.

    Can you look into this please? This is beginning to drag on a bit.

    It has now been a month since the monies for this order were taken from my account, during which time:

    - I was quoted a rough 3 week build and delivery time
    - I received the parts for the order a few days later
    - On returning all necessary parts to complete the system, received a mail stating that build may delayed due to some items being out of stock.
    - After reminding scan of the RMAed parts, received a build date of 24th june, and delivery date of 25th.

    Looking at the online status checker, the build has been stuck on 'memory test' since the start of the week, and is now not going to complete build till next monday, with delivery tuesday at the earliest.

    During this time, the price of the components which i have been charged for have dropped
    (processor ~£30, hard drives £10, and so on).
    The biggest cost in the system is the £500 to get it built, and i'm beginning to wonder what i'm paying for!

    I appreciate that it's only a week behind the original schedule now, but to keep on getting changing dates and mistakes made throughout the order is getting very frustrating. I've arranged for people to be home from yesterday to monday, and tuesday is not a good day to get it delivered. I will be home next thursday and friday, can you guarantee it will be delivered by then?

    Hi Richard,

    I know I know, I deserve this;

    I have been ill recently, this is why you've had no response from myself which I can only apologise for profusely. Rest assured I have already spoken with the 3XS team this morning and we already have a plan in place. This shall definitely be in action within the next hour. It's only down to a few faulty components which haven't passed the testing phase.

    I'll update this thread again shortly once I have more info for you.

    You might want to edit http://web6.scan.co.uk/aspnet/Suppor...ctDetails.aspx to remove info@scan.co.uk as the 'general enquiries' address then - email addresses that bounce are one of the things that really make me see red

    I also prefer email addresses to web forms, as it's easier to keep track of what you've sent, and allows you to send attachments etc if needed.

    Update;

    rwagg42 has accepted a refund due to price differences then and now - we are only able to do this as we have unfortunately gone over the 28 day agreement that we have with everyone who places a system order.

    New parts are on their way to the 3XS team, all being well the system shall ship tomorrow after a memtest and a QC.
